Under Kim's dynamic and knowledgeable leadership, the San Diego Chorus of Sweet Adelines International has won seven Regional Championship medals as well as numerous International medals, including a Gold medal in 2001. A Master 700 Director, Kim has led the San Diego Chorus since 1985, and also has directed the Pacific Coast Harmony of The Barbershop Harmony Society since 2002. 

A world-renowned barbershop quartet and chorus coach , Kim coaches locally, regularly visits groups around the United States, and also coaches in New Zealand, Australia, and  England. A certified vocal coach, Kim offers voice lessons to individuals as well.  

Kim's talents lie not only in her directing, coaching and teaching skills, but also in her own performance accomplishments. Winning the Sweet Adelines International quartet title as a "Queen of Harmony" is the highest honor in the Sweet Adelines International organization, Kim has been crowned an unprecedented three times singing lead with a cappella Gold (2001), Savvy (1988) and High Society (1976). She currently sings lead with her new quartet, Unlimited.
